1. Anthropic's official plugin directory — the pack every beginner should have first: plugins made and picked by Anthropic for coding, front-end and everyday work.

Inside Claude Code, browse it with /plugin → Discover, or install any plugin by name (for example frontend-design):

2. Obsidian skill (obsidian-second-brain) — turns Claude Code into a second brain: persistent memory stored as plain notes in your Obsidian vault, so it stops forgetting your project.

Install inside Claude Code (two commands):

/plugin marketplace add eugeniughelbur/obsidian-second-brain

Then set OBSIDIAN_VAULT_PATH to your vault in ~/.claude/settings.json, restart Claude Code and run /obsidian-second-brain:obsidian-init (see the README).

3. Ponytail — makes Claude write only the code it actually needs: smaller changes and fewer tokens, without cutting validation, error handling, security or accessibility.

4. Code Review — official Anthropic plugin: a team of agents reviews your code in parallel and finds the bugs before you launch.

5. claude-mem — memory from one session to the next, so you don't re-explain your project every time.

claude-mem's installer offers a sign-in with a 30-day free trial of its hosted memory service; after the trial it falls back to your Anthropic plan unless you subscribe. You can also pick your own key or skip the sign-in (see the README).

Restart Claude Code after installing plugins so they load.
